Dr. Culpepper will be joining the pratice in November 2023, fulfilling a dream of his to live in Hilton Head. 

 

He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee--Chattanooga in 1998 with a Bachelors of Art in Chemistry. 

In 2007 he completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee--Memphis.  He then moved on to the University of Kentucky in Lexington to complete a residency in general surgery in 2012 and then a trauma and surgical critical care fellowship in 2013.  

Upon completion of this advanced training he remained in Lexington where he was a clinical instructor and professor in the department of surgery at the University of Kentucky.

In 2018 he left academia for private practice and relocated to Lebanon, Indiana at Witham Health Services.

 

Dr. Culpepper has been board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in both surgery and critical since 2013.  He has been an associate member of the American College of Surgeons.  He has also held memberships in the American Medical Association, the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition,  the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. 

 

Dr. Culpepper has active licenses to practice medicine in South Carolina and Indiana.
